Dr. Rutledge's years of experience have shown him that patient education, state-of-the-art technology and a safe, comfortable environment are keys to a successful weight loss surgery. He and his dedicated team work closely with their patients to fully understand any fears or concerns they have about their weight loss surgery. Dr. Rutledge understands that some patients may be nervous about undergoing a mini-gastric bypass procedure, so he diligently works to provide all the necessary information to help his patients make informed decisions.
Dr. Rutledge has treated patients from every region of the U.S., as well as patients from overseas. Although he offers several weight loss procedures to help patients achieve life-changing results, he stresses the overall effectiveness and safety of the mini-gastric bypass when compared to other procedures. His experience and skill with this treatment allows him to offer it as an outpatient procedure to some of his patients.

"I feel so good about myself and my newly born ZEST FOR LIFE. The MGB staff is so wonderful, and I am happy to have one less thing to worry or obsess about (my weight), because I know it will take care of itself while I am busy attending to the opportunities that life has to offer."
"I thought that Dr. Rutledge was very kind, compassionate and funny. He jokes with you all of the time and helps to lighten the mood. He can be all business when it comes to your health. He is very knowledgeable in his field and is very familiar with all comorbidity that we may have."
