Stephen Malley, MD is one of the most experienced Lap-Band surgeons in the Midwest, having performed more than 800 procedures to date. In 2006, Dr. Malley was asked to serve as a faculty member for Allergan Medical, the manufacturer of the Lap-Band System, to train other surgeons on this bariatric device..

Dr. Malley is a board-certified general surgeon who earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Malley is a former general medical officer and squadron medical officer for the United States Navy.

C. Thomas Hitchcock, MD, FACS, completed his undergraduate, medical degree and surgical residency at the University of Kansas. He furthered his training with an externship at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). He also completed laparoscopic weight loss surgery training with the acclaimed weight loss surgeons, Dr. Wittgrove and Dr. Clark, creators of the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass technique.

Dr. Hitchcock has more than 25 years of experience performing bariatric surgery. He has been honored as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence Surgeon by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, of which he is a member. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
