A Note about Liposuction Surgery and Lipoplasty

Liposuction surgery, also known as lipoplasty, is one type of cosmetic plastic surgery that is commonly performed to enhance a person's appearance, shape and profile. Plastic surgeons in the Vancouver area who perform traditional liposuction may also perform tumescent liposuction and may offer lipo-dissolve. Vancouver liposuction surgeons may also perform lap band procedures, and may offer body lift and other procedures or treatments for body contouring. Liposuction is not a type of weight loss surgery, also known as bariatric surgery or gastric bypass surgery. However, liposuction may be an effective procedure after the massive weight loss induced by the gastric bypass or Lap Band procedure.
