Barry Weintraub, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Weintraub received his medical degree from New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center (now Weill Cornell Medical Center) after graduating magna cum laude from Brandeis University. He served as Chief Resident at Cornell Medical Center, the Cleft Lip and Palate Center of North Shore University Hospital, and the Reconstructive Cancer Center of Memorial Sloan-Kettering. Dr. Weintraub's plastic surgical fellowship was also performed at Cornell Medical Center, and he holds appointments at Manhattan Eye and Ear, Lenox Hill Hospital, the Center for Specialty Care and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Weintraub is in his surgical prime with the quiet calm of success mature in his aesthetic judgment and technically seasoned with more than two decades of experience performing cosmetic surgery. You may have seen him on Oprah a few years ago. Dr. Weintraub's discussion of ethics and patient candidacy for cosmetic surgery has earned respect from both the public and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Weintraub's philosophy is "less is more." He stresses that results should be conservative and understated, with a keen eye toward natural beauty. Dr. Weintraub specializes in high quality, detailed cosmetic surgery of the face and body. He employs cutting-edge methods, using the latest minimally invasive, non-surgical and short-incision techniques to provide maximum benefit to his patients. For example, Dr. Weintraub performs facial rejuvenation surgery by suspending tissues and restoring the lost youthful volume rather than by using unnatural skin traction. When performing aesthetic surgery of the nose, Dr. Weintraub employs the newest techniques of structural manipulation of cartilage that produce beautifully graceful contours and natural profiles. For post-pregnancy tummy tuck, he uses tedious corset placation to create natural-looking, beautiful and youthful abdomen.
Dr. Weintraub offers a warm welcome to his patients. This approach puts them at ease and encourages them to look forward to their exciting new changes.
