Breast Augmentation in Toronto, Ontario with Dr. Wanzel

Breast augmentation enhances the appearance of the breast by placing a breast implant under the breast mound. Breast implants increase volume, improve the fullness of the breast, correct asymmetry, and provide a more youthful shape.

Breast Lift (Mastopexy) in Toronto, Ontario with Dr. Wanzel

A breast lift, or mastopexy, is performed to return youthful shape and lift to breasts that have sagged as a result of weight loss, pregnancy, loss of the skin's natural elasticity or simply the effects of aging and gravity.

Gynecomastia Treatment (Male Breast Reduction) in Toronto, Ontario with Dr. Wanzel

The overdevelopment of the male breast is a common problem. Frequently, it begins during puberty, but may occur at any time during adulthood. Men describe feeling self-conscious about their breast size and are uneasy about exposing their chest in public or wearing certain clothes.

The gynecomastia procedure removes fat and/or glandular tissue from the breasts, usually via liposuction and/or a small incision near the nipple, resulting in a contoured chest that is flatter, firmer and natural in appearance. It is performed under a general anesthetic, usually as an outpatient procedure.

Correction of Inverted Nipples in Toronto, Ontario with Dr. Wanzel

Inverted nipples can cause functional problems and emotional concerns for women. An inverted nipple can look flat or like a slit-like depression or hole at the normal nipple location. There are different degrees or grades of nipple inversion, and correction of inverted nipples depends on the degree of the problem. Typically, this it is done under local anaesthesia and as an outpatient procedure.

Breast Reconstruction in Toronto, Ontario with Dr. Wanzel

Reconstruction of a breast that has been removed due to cancer or other disease is one of the most rewarding surgical procedures available today.

Most breast reconstructions involve two or three procedures that occur over time. The initial operation involves the reconstruction of a new breast mound. This can either be performed immediately following breast removal (mastectomy) or can be done months to years later. In addition, a final shaping of the breast mound might be required, as well as a reconstruction of the nipple and areola and, possibly, surgery to enlarge, reduce or lift the natural breast to match the reconstructed breast.
