The patient on the left was operated on with a
traditional scalpel while the patient on the right was
operated on with the Harmonic scalpel. While not all
patients will experience the immediate and extraordinary

More About Luis A. Viñas, MD, FACS

Luis A. Viñas, MD, FACS, came to the Palm Beach in 1990 with advanced training in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery from Nassau County Medical Center at Long Island, New York. At the Medical Center, Dr. Viñas performed his post-graduate training residency in general surgery, followed by a fellowship in burn care and reconstruction, and finished with a two-year plastic surgery fellowship under the tutelage of the prestigious Long Island Plastic Surgery Partners. He completed his Medical Degree at the Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico, where his family lived, and earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts. He created the state-of-the-art L.A. Viñas Plastic Surgery and Med Spa in 2009.

Dr. Viñas has been a member of several humanitarian surgical missions, including trips to Honduras and Peru. He is a member of numerous medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Lipoplasty Society of North America, the Florida Society of Facial and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, the Florida Medical Association, the Florida Physicians Associates, the Palm Beach County Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and the Palm Beach Medical Society.

More About Alan L. Jacobson, MD, FACS

Alan L. Jacobson, MD, FACS, received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and completed his medical residency at the Mt. Sinai Hospital. Dr. Jacobson specializes in head and neck surgery, as well as trauma and reconstructive surgical procedures. He trained numerous plastic surgery students and resident physicians while he served as a professor at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and the American Academy Otolaryngology and Neck Surgery. He is certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Jacobson is a pioneer in minimally invasive surgical techniques and has been published in a number of textbooks and medical journals. He is a respected educator and a coveted national and international lecturer. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Aesthetic Restorative Surgery, the International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgery and has held fellowship positions with the American Academy of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons.
