John M, Thomassen, MD, received his Mechanical Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree, graduating magna cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, San Juan. He completed a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health during his Medical School Training. He went on to complete a plastic surgery integrated residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
