Sam Sukkar, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon with advanced fellowship training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. More About Sam Sukkar, MD, FACS

Sam Sukkar, MD, FACS, completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology with summa cum laude honors at Louisiana State University, where he was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. In addition, he was named "Premedical Student of the Year" by the Baton Rouge Medical Society and was awarded the Charles E. Coates Scholarship. He continued his education at Louisiana State University by completing a medical degree. Dr. Sukkar performed a general surgery residency at the University of Texas Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. In addition, he performed a plastic surgery residency and a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Sukkar has written several published journal articles and has been invited to lecture to a number of medical organizations. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society and the Houston Society of Plastic Surgery.
