Joel R. Studin, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. A highly-sought after cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Studin has served on two national committees of the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation and has been featured as a cosmetic surgery expert on CNN, CBS, Fox News, Good Day New York and Cable News.

Dr. Studin has been performing aesthetic surgery in the Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and New York area since 1985. His state-of-the-art private practice has two offices in New York through which patients can select from a comprehensive range of life-changing aesthetic treatments. Dr. Studins was certified as a preceptor by Coherent, Inc. to teach Laser Facial Surgery and Laser Eyelift to other surgeons, an honor reserved for very few. He has taught hundreds of surgeons the art of laser surgery and often hosts other surgeons at his office where they observe his application of new technology procedures.

In addition to his laser expertise, Dr. Studin is widely recognized by his peers as an expert in the fields of breast surgery, liposuction and rhinoplasty. He recently had an International Clinical Journal publish his opinions regarding optimal techniques for breast enlargement. He was one of the first surgeons in the United States to study the effectiveness of Endermology for cellulite reduction and to help smooth the skin after large volume liposuction. Dr. Studin was also one of the first surgeons to utilize computer imaging to plan rhinoplasty and to publish articles on the use of computers in plastic surgery.

Joel R. Studin, MD, FACS, earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rochester and his Doctorate of Medicine degree from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Studin completed a residency in plastic surgery based at St. Lukes Roosevelt Hospital, with additional training at New York University Hospital, Bellevue Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Westchester County Medical Center Burn Unit, and the Interfaith Medical Center. He later received a diploma as a Visiting Clinical Fellow from Columbia University School of Medicine.

In addition to operating his own private practice with two offices in New York, Dr. Studin also serves on staff at North Shore University Hospital Glen Cove Division, and St. Lukes Roosevelt Hospital, through which he participates in the education and training of new plastic surgeons. He served as Chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery of Deepdale Hospital and Little Neck Hospital, and has authored a number of publications related to advancements in plastic surgery.
