Chosen as one of the countrys top cosmetic plastic surgeons by The New York Times in The New York Times Style Magazine, where his work with liposuction was given special mention, Dr. Stoker has also served as a plastic surgery expert on the Dr. Phil Show. Demonstrating his work with power-assisted liposuction, the Los Angeles plastic surgeon has appeared as well on The Discovery Health Channel.

Dr. Stoker has written numerous publications on cosmetic surgery, including authoring Liposuction and Body Contouring for an influential textbook on plastic surgery procedures. His groundbreaking research with power-assisted liposuction contributed to major advances in body contouring. In fact, at the annual meetings for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), Dr. Stoker has educated other plastic surgeons on procedures such as liposuction.

Graduating with honors from Stanford University, Dr. Stoker then studied medicine in San Francisco at the University of California, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He them performed his residency in General Surgery at the NYU Medical Center, receiving the British Journal of Surgery Award for having the highest score in the department on the National In-Service Training Exam. He finished his residency in Plastic Surgery at the New York University School of Medicines prestigious Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery.

A Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Stoker is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Widely respected for his proficiency in plastic surgery, Dr. Stevens is not only sought after by those men and women in Los Angeles seeking liposuction, but is a favorite of the consumer media, having been spotlighted in newspapers, magazines and on TV, including USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, People, Beauty, Forbes, Glamour, Mens Fitness, MSNBC, CBS News and PBS Nightly Business Report, to name a few.

Dr. Stevens obtained his medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he graduated with honors. He then performed a General Surgery residency at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, before returning to the Washington University School of Medicine for specialized fellowship training in hand surgery. Finally, he performed his Plastic Surgery residency at the Washington University School of Medicines Division of Plastic Surgery. There, he served as Chief Resident during his final year.

A past Chairman of the Liposuction Committee at Daniel Freeman Marina Hospital, Dr. Stevens is an active participant in 17 local, state, national and international plastic surgery societies. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the revered American College of Surgeons, and is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).
