Daniel N. Ronel, MD, FACS, FAAP, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who combines extensive medical training with sophisticated surgical skill to produce aesthetic results of the highest caliber. His talent and dedication have been recognized by the Consumers Research Council of America, which has named him one of "America's Top Plastic Surgeons". Dr. Ronel pioneered a surgical program in integrative medicine that helps achieve remarkable surgical results. The program includes acupuncture, reflexology, homeopathy, aromatherapy-guided imagery, Thai massage, nutritional counseling and other forms of therapy. The program also incorporates the services of a psychologist to help patients address any body image issues. Due to his extensive plastic surgery expertise, Dr. Ronel has been selected as one of 13 specialists to serve on Allergan's Breast Implant Research Team, a national advisory panel on silicone breast implants.A nationally recognized expert in the field of aesthetic injectables, he is one of eight surgeons selected to be on the Artefill Scientific Advisory Panel. Additionally, Dr. Ronel is a member of the Radiesse Medical Education Facility, a group composed of approximately 120 physicians from across the United States. In 2008 he received the Patient's Choice award, given by patients to less than five percent of their physicians in the United States.

Dr. Ronel graduated with honors from Princeton University and the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He then completed his plastic surgery training at the New York Presbyterian Hospital program, which includes New York Hospital, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the Hospital for Special Surgery. In addition, Dr. Ronel completed training in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Boston Children's Hospital.

Following his formal medical training, Dr. Ronel served as a Chief Medical Officer in the United States Air Force for four years. Recognized for his sound medical decisions and extensive professional experience, Dr. Ronel currently maintains private practices in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico, and he enjoys surgical privileges at a number of prominent area hospitals, including the Lovelace-Sandia Health System in Albuquerque, the Physicians Medical Center of Santa Fe and St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe.
Dr. Ronel is a distinguished member of several prestigious medical societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
When Dr. Ronel is not serving patients, he donates his time to philanthropic activities. In addition, Dr. Ronel donates at least 10 percent of every cosmetic fee to charity. Frustrated by the number of uninsured women in northern New Mexico who could not have breast reconstruction after their cancer surgery, Dr. Ronel started the Daniel and Elizabeth Ronel Fund for Breast Reconstruction. He is also a Founding Member of the Santa Fe Community Foundation Circle of Care, a fund that distributes income as grants to meet the most urgent health and human services needs in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico. Dr. Ronel also participates in the Vanity for Charity program, an organization that donates profits from Botox injections to nonprofit organizations, including local animal shelters and small private schools.
