Stephen J. Ronan, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon who has helped numerous patients improve their appearance and self-confidence by delivering beautiful, natural-looking surgical enhancements. Dr. Ronan's treatment philosophy is based on the idea that each patient should receive personalized, attentive care. Dr. Ronan carefully reviews each patient's medical history and performs comprehensive physical exams in order to select the most appropriate surgical procedures. He then explains the benefits of the proposed treatments, as well as their risks and possible complications. This unhurried, individualized approach reduces patient anxiety, creates realistic expectations and allows patients to make informed, confident decisions.

For Dr. Ronan, patient safety always comes first. He performs all procedures at the Blackhawk Surgery Center, a facility that has been fully accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF) and Medicare. Dr. Ronan's team of medical professionals includes a board-certified anesthesiologist who monitors his patients throughout the surgery process. Skilled, friendly nurses are also on hand to help patients with their needs and address any concerns they might have.

Dr. Ronan's training and experience allow him to confidently perform a variety of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery procedures. Stephen J. Ronan, MD, earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, where he also completed his general surgery internship and residency. In addition, Dr. Ronan completed an advanced two-year fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at this institution. He has served as the Chief Surgical House Officer at the CJW Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia, and as the Chief of Plastic Surgery at the San Joaquin General Hospital in French Camp, California. Dr. Ronan is a published author with numerous articles in major trade publications, and he lectures regularly on the subjects of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. He is an active member of many highly regarded professional associations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Medical Association and the California Medical Association. In addition, Dr. Ronan serves on the board of directors of Operation Kids, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children worldwide by providing free surgical services.
