Manuel Gutierrez Romero, MD, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Autonomous University of Baja California. He received training in general surgery at the La Raza General Hospital in Mexico City and later completed his plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery specialty training at Mexico Citys General Hospital. Dr. Gutierrez Romero is a member of the Mexican Board of General Surgery, the Mexican Board of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Mexican Association of Plastic, Esthetic and Reconstructive Surgery in Baja California and the Mexican Association of Plastic Surgery. In addition to performing surgery at his private practice, he volunteers his time and reconstructive surgery talents to the Smile Plan Project, which helps children born with cleft lip and other deformities.
