Tom Pousti, MD, FACS, is a cosmetic plastic surgeon dedicated to restoring his patients appearance, self-esteem, function and quality of life. Dr. Pousti has more than 15 years of extensive medical and surgical training and he is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Pousti has garnered a reputation for excellence in performing a wide spectrum of aesthetic procedures. In fact, his reputation is such that patients routinely fly in from other states to receive treatment by his skilled hands.

Dr. Pousti completed 5 years of general surgery residency at U.C. Irvine Medical Center in Orange County, California and then went on to do his 2 year Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Harvard University. At Harvard, Dr. Pousti trained under some of the most well known surgeons in the Plastic Surgery community and this is where he learned most of his techniques. Dr. Pousti enjoys teaching other students when the opportunity arises.

Dr. Pousti is the head of his own private Inland Empire rhinoplasty practice, the Pousti Plastic Surgery Center, which has two facilities: A San Diego office and a recently opened office serving the needs of cosmetic surgery patients in Temecula and Murrieta. All surgical procedures are performed in a state-of-the-art surgical facility with Dr. Poustis private operating room team. He and his highly-trained staff of surgical assistants, nurses and anesthesiologists are committed to providing their patients with the finest possible care in the safest and most comfortable of settings. Dr. Pousti has privileges at surgery centers and hospitals around San Diego which include Sharp Memorial Hospital, Mary Birch Hospital for Women, Sharp Grossmont Hospital, Mercy Hospital and Alvarado Hospital.

Tom Pousti, MD, FACS is a double board-certified plastic surgeon and has been selected as a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Surgeons. He received his BS degree from the University of San Diego, California, before earning his MD from the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Pousti later participated in a select internship program and completed a general surgery residency at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. After leaving UC Irvine, Dr. Pousti traveled to Boston, MA where he completed a plastic surgery fellowship program at the world-renowned Harvard-based Brigham and Womens Childrens Hospital.

Dr. Pousti is affiliated with a number of professional medical societies including: the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the San Diego County Medical Association and the San Diego Plastic Surgery Society. Dr. Pousti currently resides in San Diego with his wife Marjan and their three sons and daughter.
