More About the Surgeons of Plastic Surgery Specialists

Stanley G. Poulos, MD, completed an undergraduate degree at Southern Methodist University in Dallas and a medical degree at the University of Texas. He then performed a general surgery internship and residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), followed by a plastic surgery fellowship at St. Francis Hospital. Dr. Poulos served as Co-Director and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Marin General Hospital, Chief of Plastic Surgery at Ross General Hospital, and a Staff Member of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Greenbrae Surgery Center. He is a member of many prestigious medical organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Marin Medical Society.

Yngvar A. Hvistendahl, MD, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Dartmouth College and a Doctor of Medicine degree at Case Western Reserve University. Following medical school, Dr. Hvistendahl completed a general surgery internship and residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where he also performed a plastic surgery fellowship. Dr. Hvistendahl is Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Marin General Hospital and served as Co-Director and Chief of the Plastic Surgery Center of Marin. Dr. Hvistendahl holds memberships with several professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, the California Medical Association and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons.
