Dr. Poulos and his staff

Stanley G. Poulos, MD, earned his medical degree from the University of Texas and completed his general and plastic surgery residencies at the University of California, San Francisco and St. Francis Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Center in San Francisco.

In addition to being the Co-Founder of Plastic Surgery Specialists, Dr. Poulos has served as a Clinical Instructor of Plastic Surgery and as Chairman of the Plastic Surgery division of Marin General Hospital. Dr. Poulos is also a prominent member of a number of professional medical societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Moreover, Dr. Poulos has held a number of positions at local area hospitals including Marin General Hospital and Ross General Hospital.

Yngvar A. Hvistendahl, MD, earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. He participated in a select general surgery internship program and residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where he later completed a plastic surgery fellowship.

In addition to being the Co-Founder of Plastic Surgery Specialists, Dr. Hvistendahl has served as Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Marin General Hospital and Co-Director and Chief of the Plastic Surgery Center of Marin. He is an Attending Physician at Marin General Hospital, California Pacific Medical Center, and Novato Community Hospital, and lends his expertise as a consultant for Kentfield Hospital. Dr. Hvistendahl is affiliated with a number of prominent medical associations, some of which include The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons.
