The doctors at Paces Plastic Surgery and Recovery Center are highly trained specialists dedicated to surgical excellence and patient care. All are board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and affiliated with prestigious medical organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the American Association of Plastic Surgeons.

T. Roderick Hester, MD, FACS, is a well-known plastic surgery educator and innovator. He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Emory University. Following graduation, Dr. Hester remained at Emory University where he participated in a select general surgery internship program and completed his general and plastic surgery residency training, serving as chief resident. He has had a long-standing relationship with Emory University, as a professor for 15 years, and currently as Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Hester is a featured lecturer at plastic surgery meetings worldwide. He has authored numerous scientific articles, and his research has contributed to the development of innovative new therapies in plastic surgery. Dr. Hester has been recognized by his peers as a leading cosmetic plastic surgeon and has received numerous accolades and awards in recognition of his many achievements.

Foad Nahai, MD, FACS, is widely recognized for his expertise, leadership, and significant contributions to the field of aesthetic plastic surgery. He is President of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and President-Elect of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Previously Dr. Nahai served as a Director of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is regularly listed as one of the best physicians in publications such as Atlanta magazine. Dr. Nahai earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Bristol in England. After graduation, he participated in a select medical and surgical internship program at the University of Bristol, followed by surgical training at Johns Hopkinsaffiliated hospitals in Baltimore. He completed his general surgery residency, research fellowship and residency in plastic surgery at Emory University. Before joining Paces Plastic Surgery in 1998, Dr. Nahai served as Professor of Plastic Surgery at Emorys School of Medicine. He has edited and authored a landmark textbook on aesthetic plastic surgery, has coauthored six books and has published more than 135 scientific articles. He has received recognition and numerous awards for his plastic surgery contributions and is a much sought-after speaker at meetings held around the world.

Mark A. Codner, MD, FACS, has built an excellent reputation for his outstanding work in eyelid surgery and his expertise in plastic surgery. He is one of the youngest Associate Editors for the journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is the coauthor of a comprehensive textbook on eyelid surgery. Dr. Codner earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Emory University, as a summa cum laude graduate, and completed his general surgery residency training at The New York HospitalCornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He completed his plastic surgery residency at Emory University, serving as chief resident before completing an aesthetic surgery fellowship at Baker, Gordon, & Stuzin Plastic Surgery Associates, and an oculoplastic surgery fellowship at Southeastern Oculoplastic Center. Like his colleagues, Dr. Codner has garnered many prestigious academic awards and is an invited speaker at national and international plastic surgery meetings. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Emory University, is Director of the Fellowship Program in Aesthetic and Oculoplastic Surgery at Paces and is the current chairman of the Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium.

Farzad R. Nahai, MD, earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Emory University, graduating summa cum laude. He remained at Emory University to complete an extensive five-year general surgery residency; this was followed by a plastic surgery residency at the prestigious training program at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Nahai returned to Atlanta to complete a craniofacial fellowship at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital, and an oculoplastic and aesthetic fellowship at Paces. He has published a number of scholarly articles on aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the face and breast and has written chapters for leading plastic surgery textbooks. Dr. Farzad Nahai is an associate editor of the journals Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Annals of Plastic Surgery, and is frequently invited to present his work at national plastic surgery meetings. In addition to his work at Paces Plastic Surgery, Dr. Nahai volunteers his time helping the less fortunate who need plastic surgery in Central America, Africa and the United States.

Kristin A. Boehm, MD, FACS, is the newest expert to join the Paces Plastic Surgery team. She earned her undergraduate degree cum laude from Dartmouth College and her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. After graduation, Dr. Boehm remained at the University of Rochester to complete her general surgery residency before traveling to Salt Lake City to complete her plastic surgery residency through the University of Utah Department of Plastic Surgery. She completed a fellowship in aesthetic and oculoplastic surgery at Paces before spending four-and-a-half years in private practice in central Georgia. Dr. Boehm is based at the Woodstock office and performs surgery at the Northside-Cherokee Hospital and the Paces Surgical Center.
