More About the Physicians of New York Group for Plastic Surgery

C. Andrew Salzberg, MD, is a renowned plastic surgeon who has been recognized as one of the top doctors in the New York metro area. A graduate of the University of Florida School of Medicine, Dr. Salzberg completed his general surgery residency at Beth Israel Hospital and his plastic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Before entering into private practice, Dr. Salzberg served as Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Castle Point Veterans Medical Center and as past President of the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel. He currently serves as an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology at New York Medical College, in addition to serving as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Dobbs Ferry Hospital.

R. Michael Koch, MD, is an extensively trained plastic surgeon who completed his formal medical education at the prestigious Hahnemann University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in general surgery at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC, in addition to earning a research fellowship at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Koch went on to complete a residency in plastic surgery at the University of California, Los Angles Medical Center and concluded is rigorous training with a fellowship in aesthetic plastic surgery at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.

Dr. Koch currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the New York Medical College and as the Chief of the Microsurgery and Replantation services at Westchester Medical Center. In addition, he serves on staff at the Aesthetic Institute in Mt. Kisco.

Dr. Koch firmly believes strongly in the life-changing benefits of plastic surgery and has volunteered his surgical and clinical expertise to help treat patients from around the world. He has traveled to Africa, Viet Nam, and the Philippines to provide cosmetic and reconstructive surgical care.

A member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgery, and the American Society of Aesthetic Surgery, Dr. Koch is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Peter T. Korn, MD, is an internationally-trained plastic surgeon who specializes in all areas of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He earned his medical degree from the prestigious University of Vienna. Recognized for his exceptional academic achievements, Dr. Korn was invited to study at the prestigious Cornell University / New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He went on to complete his plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the combined program of Cornell and Columbia University. He further refined his clinical expertise and training at world-renowned centers for reconstructive surgery, including the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Hospital for Special Surgery, and the University Hospital Gent in Belgium.

An Assistant Professor of Surgery at the New York Medical College, Dr. Korn is a candidate-member of professional medical societies such as the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
