Jeffrey Nelson, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon with more than 15 years of experience. He has written two book chapters, published numerous articles and has been requested to lecture nationally and internationally on various plastic surgery topics. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Chief of Plastic Surgery at both Northwest Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital. Dr. Nelson has had an interest in medicine since an early age and was accepted to the prestigious Johns Hopkins School of Medicine at the age of 19. In addition, he has had a life-long interest in art; his large canvas abstract artwork is displayed in his office, which also serves as an art gallery.

Dr. Nelson performs an array of face, body and breast procedures, including eyelid surgery, facelift, nose contouring (rhinoplasty), tummy tuck, body lift, arm lift, liposuction, buttock augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift and breast enlargement using either saline or silicone implants. Dr. Nelson also offers Erchonia Low Level Laser Therapy, an FDA-approved treatment that helps heal damaged tissues. He often recommends the laser therapy to liposuction patients to decrease postoperative bruising and pain, as well as encourage a faster recovery period. Dr. Nelson is one of the first plastic surgeons in Tucson to offer threadlift, a less invasive variation of facelift that uses sutures to lift sagging tissues. In addition, Dr. Nelson offers numerous non-invasive procedures such as skin resurfacing, skin rejuvenation and injectable fillers, including Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse and Sculptra.

More About Jeffrey Nelson, MD, FACS

Jeffrey Nelson, MD, FACS, earned his medical degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and then completed general surgery training at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He received his plastic surgery training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, and at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where he later served as a staff plastic surgeon and trained medical students in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
