More About Ellen A. Mahony, MD, FACS

Ellen A. Mahony, MD, FACS, received a degree in physical therapy from the University of Connecticut and masters in international healthcare from Yale University. After designing and implementing a nationalized healthcare system in East Africa, Dr. Mahony returned to the United States, where she obtained her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania and was among the few female plastic surgeons to be invited to enter the university's general surgery residency. She continued her training at the University of Pennsylvania with a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as a fellowship program in hand and microsurgery. Dr. Mahony is the founder of Women in Power, a business development organization, which sponsors educational seminars and networking opportunities for professional women in Connecticut and New York..
