Marisa Lawrence, MD, FACS, is a nationally recognized board-certified plastic surgeon who has practiced cosmetic plastic surgery in Atlanta, Georgia, since 1994. She specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery of the face, eyes, nose, breasts and body. Dr. Lawrence is skilled in the latest endoscopic (minimally-invasive) and laser surgery techniques. Her office offers a full range of aesthetic services, including custom skin care programs, laser procedures and injectable fillers such as Botox, Sculptra, Juvederm, Restylane and Artefill. As a solo practitioner with extensive experience, Dr. Lawrence and her highly capable all-female staff strive to provide "boutique" surgical care of the highest quality to all of their patients.

Dr. Lawrence has achieved board certification in both general surgery and plastic surgery and has held faculty positions at both Cornell University and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Lawrence served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Northside Hospital in Atlanta from 1997 to 2003, where she was Chief Investigator for the silicone and saline breast implant safety studies.
As a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Lawrence is among a select group of board-certified plastic surgeons who have attained the highest level of achievement in cosmetic surgical training, continuing education and clinical experience. She is frequently invited to lecture at national and local plastic surgery meetings and has published a number of articles on the subject of cosmetic surgery. She currently serves as an editor for Plastic Surgery Practice. Dr. Lawrence and her practice have been featured in Atlanta and Atlanta Medicine magazines and in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper.
Dr. Lawrence realizes that improved appearance can be a major factor in developing a positive, more confident self-image. In fact, she and her staff members have undergone several cosmetic procedures themselves and can discuss their surgeries with patients using first-hand knowledge! Dr. Lawrence received her Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, graduating magna cum laude. She earned her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Lawrence is a fully trained general surgeon, having completed her surgery internship and residency at Weill Cornell-New York Presbyterian Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Lawrence completed her plastic surgery training at the University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles. She has also received specialized cosmetic surgery fellowship training under the guidance of several highly respected plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills, California. Dr. Lawrence is a member of several professional organizations and societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the Medical Association of Georgia and the Atlanta Women's Medical Alliance.
