More about Joshua Kreithen, MD

Joshua Kreithen, MD, received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Pittsburgh before earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from Temple University School of Medicine. After medical school, Dr. Kreithen completed a five-year general surgery residency that included training at East Tennessee State University, Johnson City Medical Center, Bristol Regional Medical Center, Holston Valley Medical Center, Indian Path Medical Center, and Mountain Home Veterans Affairs Medical Center. This was followed by a three-year plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship that included training at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital, Alachua General Hospital, and Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He currently holds privileges at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and Doctors Hospital, and is routinely invited to speak at various symposia held throughout the country.

In addition to providing excellent plastic surgery and skin care services through his Lakewood Ranch private practice, Dr. Kreithen has volunteered his services to a number of charitable organizations, including Interplast, a cleft lip and palate missionary program in Honduras. He serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at Lake Eire Osteopathic School of Medicine. Dr. Kreithen is affiliated with a number of professional medical societies, some of which include: The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Florida Medical Association, the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, the Manatee County Medical Society, the Sarasota County Medical Society, and the ObesityHelp Advisory Panel.
