More About Christopher J. Kovanda, MD, FACS

Christopher J. Kovanda, MD, FACS, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed a surgery internship at Loyola University; a general surgery residency at the Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut; and a plastic surgery residency at the Lahey Clinic in Boston. Dr. Kovanda has served on the Breast Health Expert Panel at North Memorial Hospital and on the Congressional Committee Physicians Advisory Board. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is affiliated with several renowned institutions, including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the International Society of Cosmetic and Laser Surgeons and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Kovanda has also volunteered his time and talents to help Haitian doctors with complex plastic surgery cases.
