Michael F. Hynes, MD, FACS, is a board certified plastic surgeon who has been serving Johnson County and Kansas City for more than 25 years. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Hynes was voted "Best Plastic Surgeon" by Kansas City Magazine in 2006.

Dr. Hynes is the founder of Hynes Plastic Surgery Center, PC, a premier facility where life-changing aesthetics are provided to patients from throughout Missouri, Kansas and beyond. By combining his artistic vision with his many years of technical training and experience, Dr. Hynes is able to produce natural and beautiful results that help his patients attain a younger, more confident self image. He incorporates state-of-the-art technologies and techniques to enhance precision; in fact, he is one of only a few doctors in Kansas City that uses a special "pain pump" for the patient to use at home for 3 5 days after their surgery. This "On-Q System" is used for postoperative pain relief following breast augmentation and tummy tuck procedures, further emphasizing Dr. Hynes' focus on patient comfort.

Dr. Hynes is on the medical staff at four Kansas City area hospitals. To ensure patient safety, all surgeries are performed in the out-patient surgery department of a hospital. He performs numerous cosmetic procedures, including breast surgery (augmentation, lift, reduction), facial surgery (face lift, eyelids, neck, laser skin resurfacing, wrinkle injectables), body contouring surgery (liposuction, tummy tuck), and skin care (laser hair removal, vein therapy, VelaSmooth for cellulite, skin tightening). He is also adept at performing a number of cosmetic procedures tailored to male patients, including face lift and eyelids, liposuction, and male breast reduction (gynecomastia).

Michael F. Hynes, MD, FACS, received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Dayton in Ohio, and earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Hynes completed eight rigorous years of residency training programs in general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery through the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Hynes remains dedicated to participating in continued education courses so that he may keep himself and his practice on the cutting edge of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Hynes is affiliated with a number of professional medical societies, some of which include: The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons (Fellow), the Missouri Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the Missouri State Medical Society, and the Kansas City Society of Plastic Surgeons.
