Leonard M. Hochstein, MD, received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University through an accelerated two-year program. He remained at Louisiana State University to earn his medical degree through the Medical Center Shreveport, Louisiana. Following medical school, Dr. Hochstein participated in a select internship program and completed his general surgery residency through the University of Texas Medical Center Southwestern Parkland Memorial Hospital. He later completed a hand surgery fellowship and plastic surgery residency at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Hochstein stays on the cutting edge of new developments in plastic surgery and is involved in wide-ranging research aiming to improve surgical treatments. He is often invited to present at national meetings about advancements in cosmetic plastic surgery.
