More About Dr. Gregory

Richard Gregory, MD received his undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy and earned his medical degree from Indiana University, School of Medicine. He performed general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Gregory completed specialty fellowship training in hand surgery, also at Duke. He was appointed Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati, School of Medicine, where he served for six years teaching upcoming plastic surgeons. He has been in private practice in Orlando for 20 years and has taught upcoming residents as Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery, at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Gregory has had teaching appointments at the University of Florida in Gainesville and University of Central Florida in Orlando. He began his research studies concerning lasers in medicine in 1983 and has pioneered many new and innovative laser treatment techniques.

He serves important leadership roles in the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery and has been given the Lifetime Achievement Award for his continued contributions in the field of lasers by them. Dr. Gregory is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is one of only 250 plastic surgeons in America to be selected to the American Association of Plastic Surgeons.
