Board-certified plastic surgeons Christian G. Drehsen, MD, and Virginia A. Ward, MD, are two of Florida's leading plastic surgery providers. Drs. Christian G. Drehsen, MD, received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Brussels in Belgium. He served his residency at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Drehsen has also completed specialty training in plastic surgery at the University of Louisville. In addition, he has received advanced training in hand surgery under the renowned hand surgeon Dr. Harold Kleinert and training in microsurgery under the direction of Dr. Robert Ackland, a pioneer in the field of microsurgery. Dr. Drehsen is a published author with numerous articles in several highly regarded trade journals.

Virginia A. Ward, MD, completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Clemson University in South Carolina. She worked as a registered nurse for seven years and became the head nurse at Emory Clinic Department of Plastic Surgery in Atlanta. She then went on to earn a medical degree from the same university. Dr. Ward completed a combined residency in general surgery and plastic surgery with a specialty in micro-surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.
