More About Ronald V. DeMars, MD

Ronald V. DeMars, MD, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Christian University and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Oregon Health Sciences University. Dr. DeMars participated in a select internship program through Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston before serving as a medical officer in the Navy. During the eight years he served with the U.S. Navy, Dr. DeMars completed his general surgery residency at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Oakland, California. After leaving the service, he fulfilled his plastic surgery residency requirements at Pennsylvania State Universitys Milton S. Hershey Medical Center before opening a private practice in his home town of Portland, Oregon in 1982.

Dr. DeMars is affiliated with a number of prestigious national and local medical organizations, including the American Board of General Surgery, the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, the Northwest Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Oregon Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Oregon Medical Society.
