Paul E. Chasan, MD, FACS, earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is a graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine in Nebraska where he received several of the highest academic awards, including Alpha Omega Alpha and Magna Cum Laude honors. Dr. Chasan completed a residency in general surgery at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and a residency in plastic surgery at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City. He is currently an assistant clinical professor for the Department of Surgery at UCSD and serves on the credential committee at Scripps Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Chasan has authored articles for a variety of peer-reviewed medical journals on an array of cosmetic and general surgery topics and procedures. He is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association and other prominent organizations.
