More About Joel Beck, MD, FACS

Joel Beck, MD, FACS, received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, before earning his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Beck completed a surgery residency program at the University of California, Davis, a fellowship in burn surgery research at the University of California, San Diego, and a craniofacial-plastic surgery fellowship and plastic ⁄ reconstructive surgery residency program at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Beck remains committed to furthering his education and training with regards to the development and implementation of new plastic surgery technologies and treatment modalities. He is widely regarded for his expertise in plastic surgery and is routinely invited to present at meetings throughout the country. He has also contributed to a number of academic and clinical publications.

Dr. Beck is affiliated with a the major professional medical societies, some of which include: the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Association for Hand Surgery, and the American Medical Association.
