David H. Bauer, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon committed to serving patients in his hometown of Little Rock and the surrounding area. He is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Bauer's training includes four months at the Institute at Baptist Health in Nashville, Tennessee, where he worked with some of the most well-known breast and cosmetic surgeons in the United States. With his advanced skills and experience, Dr. Bauer is able to perform a wide range of cosmetic procedures that can truly transform the lives of his patients.

Dr. Bauer specializes in surgical procedures of the breast, including breast augmentation, breast reduction, maxopexy, or breast lift and treatment of gynecomastia, or enlarged breasts in men. He is an expert in body contouring and sculpting procedures such as liposuction, tummy tuck and arm lift, along with many types of reconstructive surgery. Dr. Bauer's treatment philosophy is that "every patient is unique, and each one presents with his or her own expectations and goals." He strives to understand the patient's individual goals, recommend appropriate treatments and fully inform the patient regarding the procedure and possible complications. Dr. Bauer practices as a member of Arkansas Plastic Surgery, a group of highly trained surgeons. He performs his procedures at the Surgical Pavillion, a state-of-the art facility associated with Baptist Health Medical Center.

More About Dr. Bauer, MD, FACS

Dr. David H. Bauer, MD, FACS, received both his bachelor's degree and his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. After graduation, Dr. Bauer completed both his internship and his residency in general surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, followed by a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Vanderbilt. Dr. Bauer has been in private practice in Little Rock since 1996 and holds memberships with many professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Arkansas Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Arkansas Medical Society.
