Maher Anous, MD, FACS, is a highly regarded esthetic plastic surgeon who is board-certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Anous vast surgical experiences have included extensive training in the fields of plastic surgery, burns, microvascular surgery and craniofacial surgery.

CoolLipo
Dr. Anous and his staff have recently added the CoolLipo technology to La Provence. This exciting laser technology (laser-assisted lipolysis) is designed exclusively for skin tightening and fat removal in small areas not easily treated by conventional liposuction, such as the neck, chin and jowls. CoolLipo is less invasive than a facelift or neck lift, and can dramatically reverse the effects of sun, lifestyle and aging. It is a short procedure performed at La Provence, with minimal bruising and virtually no post-procedure downtime.

More About Dr. Anous

Maher Anous, MD, FACS, was educated in a French Jesuit school before traveling to the United States to pursue his surgical training. His impressive educational resume includes training programs at Waterburys St. Marys hospital (Yale affiliate) for a general surgery residency, New York Citys Sloan-Kettering Memorial hospital for cancer surgery training, Seattles Harborview Medical Center for a burn fellowship, Allentowns Lehigh Valley General hospital for a plastic surgery residency, Houstons Mecom Institute for a microsurgery fellowship, and Paris Clinique Belvedere for a cranio-facial surgery fellowship.

In addition to serving as lead surgeon for his own private practice (La Provence), Dr. Anous served as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine from 1989 1995. Since 1990, he has traveled yearly to underprivileged areas of the world to volunteer his time performing surgeries on children and adults. Dr. Anous also enjoys spending time with his wife and six children and playing classic guitar.
