David L. Abramson, MD, is a Harvard-trained, board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic plastic surgery and breast reconstruction. He is a leader in plastic surgery surgical techniques and has published numerous articles on cosmetic surgery advancements, breast reduction and abdominoplasty. He uses this expertise and experience to provide patients with the highest quality care.
The mission of Dr. Abramson and his staff is to provide the highest quality cosmetic and reconstructive surgery with personalized attention. He personally spends extensive time with each patient so the best surgical plan can be outlined, ensuring the highest likelihood of patient satisfaction. Dr. Abramson earned his undergraduate degree from the world-renowned Johns Hopkins University and received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where he served as class president. He completed his residency and fellowship training in plastic surgery at the prestigious Brigham/Children's Division of Plastic Surgery of Harvard Medical School. He plays a leadership role in the American Society of Plastic Surgery, serving as Chairman of the Communication Commission. In this role, he has the responsibility of evaluating and recommending specific communications activities in order to properly educate consumers about plastic surgery procedures. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Abramson currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Surgery at State University of New York and has spent several years as Chairman of the Division of Plastic Surgery. The State University of New York is the oldest plastic surgery residency in the United States, established in 1947. In addition to his leadership roles, he is an active member of the major local and national plastic surgery societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgery and New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Abramson lives with his wife Karen and their dog Chablis in suburban New Jersey. David and Karen met while he was completing his graduate work at Harvard. They enjoy golfing, theater and travel.
