Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic plastic surgery procedure used to reshape the nose and create more symmetry between the nose and other facial features. The nose is the most prominent part of the face, and rhinoplasty can help to improve the facial beauty and profile. Nose reshaping surgery can be performed to narrow or reduce the tip of the nose or to remove bumps in the nose. The procedure can also be performed to straighten the nose. Nose surgery can also be performed for health reasons in order to improve breathing through the nasal passageway. Sometimes rhinoplasty is performed in conjunction with other facial procedures such as a face lift, or less invasive procedures such as collagen injections, microdermabrasion, laser skin resurfacing or laser scar removal. However, the procedures are normally not performed in the same session, as it is best for the nose to heal before the other procedures are initiated. When considering rhinoplasty, the primary decision should not be based purely on cost. This is an intricate procedure that requires many years of training and experience to be performed properly. It is best to consider the surgeon's credentials and the results he or she have obtained with previous patients when choosing a surgeon.
Rhinoplasty is a serious surgical procedure that requires a number of days to recover. Patients often choose to take a holiday or vacation in conjunction with the nose reshaping surgery so as to have a nice place to relax during the recovery period. Use the Los Angeles rhinoplasty directory to learn about local surgeons who you can visit during your time in Los Angeles. Also, LA is a great destination location with many activities for the cultural, outdoors or sports minded. The Santa Monica Mountains park offers a great place to camp and hike. The mountains lie north of Los Angeles and extend to Malibu on the coast. For those who would like to visit the beach, Santa Monica lies directly west of LA on the Pacific Ocean and is home to great surfing and the world-famous Santa Monica pier. Visit the Santa Monica Visitors Bureau to learn more about the hotels and activities in the area. North of Santa Monica is the coast road (Pacific Coast Highway) that runs through Malibu and all the way to San Francisco. To the south of Santa Monica lies Venice and Manhattan Beach, two other great places to have a beach holiday.
Many LA plastic surgery patients opt to have more than one procedure. Some of these procedures are offered by the same surgeons who perform rhinoplasty. For breast enhancement surgery, you can peruse the Los Angeles Breast Augmentation surgery directory to learn about the local surgeons who perform this popular procedure.
