Facelift surgery, in Long Island and elsewhere, is a plastic surgery procedure used to rejuvenate the facial area. A facelift can often be performed in conjunction with other less invasive injectable cosmetic procedures including BOTOX and Restylane, or laser skin procedures like microdermabrasion or laser skin resurfacing. Other invasive procedures such as neck lift, eyelid surgery and brow lift can be performed in conjunction with a facelift, although typically not during the same surgical session. A facelift is a permanent procedure. Over time and due to exposure to the outdoors and sunshine, like you experience on the beautiful Long Island beaches, the skin starts to age and sag. A facelift can serve to turn back the hands of time and make the facial skin look younger. However, facial skin will continue to age after the facelift and further enhancement procedures may be needed even if you have an excellent result from your facelift procedure. Mini facelift and threadlift procedures are now becoming popular. If you are considering a facelift or other facial rejuvenation procedure, it is best to consult one of the board-certified plastic surgeons listed above to determine which procedure is best for you.
