Liposuction surgery is one of the most common types of cosmetic plastic surgery in Miami, as well as across the United States. This procedure, technically known as lipoplasty, is used to reduce or eliminate areas of fat that have been resistant to diet and / or exercise. During the procedure a cannula, or large hollow needle, is inserted through the skin and is scraped along the under surface of the skin. This scraping loosens the fatty deposits. These deposits are then sucked out of the body through a tube connected to the cannula. The most common type of liposuction is called tumescent liposuction. Many patients who are excessively overweight typically undergo a type of weight loss surgery, such as gastric bypass surgery or lap band surgery, before having liposuction and other types of plastic surgery procedures. After the massive weight loss, a plastic surgeon may choose to offer liposuction, tummy tuck or a body lift procedure to help the patients regain the youthful figure and contour that they may have had before they became obese.
Patients often travel to have plastic surgery, known as vacation or holiday plastic surgery. Those persons visiting Miami can use the Miami Liposuction directory to find a local plastic surgeon who can help them regain their youthful contour. While in Miami, patients should visit some of the local areas favorite tourist spots, such as Biscayne Bay Park, where there are many historical sites relating to pirates and shipwrecks. Also, Miami is well known for its Cuban and Caribbean heritage. The local art museums, such as the Miami Museum of Contemporary Art or the Miami Art Museum, often display works related to this cultural heritage. Due to its temperate climate during the winter months, many people flock to the famous beaches of Miami. The South Beach area has great beaches, excellent restaurants and a lively night life. This area also has an Art Décor style that is unique to this area. Miami is also one of the leading boating capitals of the world and is home to one of the largest arrays of luxury yachts and pleasure boats. These boats cruise up and down the intercoastal waterway, which is protected from rough seas by the many keys and islands inherent to the Miami coastline.
Miami liposuction patients often seek other forms of elective surgery to enhance their lifestyles.
