Mother's Day Movie Madness

If a child asks 'When is children's day?' a mother always replies, 'Every day is children's day.'

Truer words have never been spoken, which is why it's so important to properly fete or pay tribute to your mother or mother figure on Mother's Day.

Yes, flowers, a gourmet meal and maybe some pampering make her smile, but a little mother-daughter bonding is probably all she really wants.

Here are four movies to cue up and watch with mom this weekend (or really anytime).

Here's what to watch:

Mamma Mia!
Who doesn't love Abba? At heart Mamma Mia!, a musical tale set to the Swedish group's hits, is about a mother's love and sacrifice. Meryl Streep will make you laugh, cry, applaud and dance in this campy treat.

Steel Magnolias
Make sure the tissues are on hand for this flick. While Shirley Maclaine provides comic relief, Sally Fields' portrayal of a mother who loses her beloved daughter (Julia Roberts) is a weep fest – but one that you will want to watch over and over again.

The Kids Are All Right
This 2010 dramedy is a moving portrayal of two moms and how they cope when their children seek out and foster a relationship with the man who served as their sperm donor. It's complicated, but the kids are all right – largely thanks to the two moms.

Grey Gardens
You probably know the story of Edith Bouvier Beale or "Little Edie" and her mother Edith Ewing Bouvier aka "Big Edie" – Jackie Kennedy's most eccentric relatives, but Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange portray this complicated mother-daughter duo and their descent into madness with panache. A real rubbernecker!

What's up with that new double-chin melting shot I keep hearing about?

Kybella just scored the US Food and Drug Administration's nod to help reduce double chins sans surgery. A synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, the new shot destroys fat cells. It will be available in June, and rumor has it Kybella is a winner.
